Client: Gorgeous Group

I was tasked with creating the brand identity for RAILS by the hospitality specialist design studio, Gorgeous Group. The restaurant wanted to re position itself in the market, offering fine British and French cuisine next to the portal to the rest of Europe. The restaurant benefits from an incredible location, situated inside the famous Great Northern Hotel, facing London’s Kings Cross Underground Station. The client wanted to highlight the architecture of the Victorian railway station in the logo and create a calming, luxurious, atmosphere where diners could steal away from the busy city around them. The use of illustrations on the menu, inspired by Victorian vegetable seed packets, aims to emphasise the use of the freshest, top-notch ingredients from UK and France as well as add a playful element to the menus and branding.
